Well-known
So I bought this a couple of weeks ago for £122. I have the latest 50mm Elmar on my M6, and it's a nice lens, but bulky for a fold-away. The new (old) Elmar is dated around 1940. It's tiny, uncoated, a bit wobbly until extended fully and locked, and clearly well-used. But its nice and clean, and the glass is clean too.
So how is the performance?
Tomb of Dame Mary Evre, died 1612, Ludlow church. 111c, handheld 1/20th at around 4. This is a crop of the whole pic.
I think excellent.
What say you?

Sharp as a tack.
The Elmar is my main lens. Interesting that Leica's "original" lens is still up there with the best.
