So I got a phone call this evening from an older photography friend who is moving to another house. Would I be interested in an old Leitz enlarger, and if so can I pick it up tonight because moving day is tomorrow?

Yes I can.

I don't know about the different models, but this is an old one. It simply says "Leitz Wetzlar" on the lamp housing. There is a varnished wooden easel (with metal framing blades) built right onto sliding tracks in the baseboard. Included is a Leitz f3.5 Varob lens that has aperture click stops marked with non standard aperture values.

I'll give the old girl a new home. 8 enlargers isn't too many, right? :)

I plan to do some printing with it to compare its ease of use and the characteristics of its lens with my more modern enlargers. It will be cool to shoot with a 50mm Elmar on my IIf and print the negs on this enlarger.
