New Olympus 35SP shooter

interesting... I always though that 35SP has high res-low contrast signature, but your samples aer quite contrasty. Has anything to do with own development?

If color prints are of some value to your doubt, my prints never showed low contrast, and BTW wonderful color rendition. But I must admit I cannot claim myself as an extremeley developed taster.

Thanx for the feedback, I dont have my own lab - just no room in the house - so I have them developed in a local Kodak Q-Lab - costs me €10 to develop and get contact prints. I can't put together a lab myself for that kind of money - but in due time, one never knows.

Ruben: That's a good point. I haven't had my SPs as long as some others around here, but they have been dead reliable. I did have one with a dead meter when I bought it, but it was easily fixed during a CLA.

Trius, get another one for free:

The ability of the user to re-align accurately the RF metering distance to the camera scale and real distance, FROM THE SHORTEST distance, is feasible with the SP, while with the Canonet you have to compromise. But I am talking from the point of view of a user, not a technician.

Second role has been spent. Problem was: I just grabbed some film lying about in a drawer, aware of the fact that it was overdue. Anyway, learned a hard lesson kicking off digital also: White Balance does not happen automatically on analogue - or cannot be adjusted as on the brilliant Minolta 7D.
Been a long time I tell you.

Are enlargements as sharp as web optimized pics? If so, this 35SP has hell of the lens. Can not wait for my 35SP to get back from CLA.

Igor: I need to get some enlargements done, but I would suspect they would be at least as sharp, but without sharpening artifacts if you're referring to an optical print.
