Speaking of Tessar lenses, a nice Yashica TLR with a Yashinon lens would do the trick real well for you.

Yes, I had a 124G as my intro to medium format. I sold it after I realized I wasn't using it anymore due to the folders being more my thing. It went to a user rather than a collector, so that was a good thing.
