Hi guys, all over the world. Reading all the interesting stuff in the threads I am now a new Epson r-d1 fan and got a "secaond-hand" r-d1. But I think I am the only one in Austria! :(

Is there anybody in Austria/Vienna who has a R-D1? I am highly interested in informations and experiences in German!!

Don't get mad, I understand most of the stuff you guys talking about in all the highly interesting threads and I learned a lot about RFs and the cameras, but there are still questions I can't express because my English is to bad. :bang:

Thanks again to all of YOU - RFF is great! I LOVE IT :D

Welcome to this very friendly Place gs-ninja!

I´ve never seen anyone here in vienna with an RD-1 and only very seldom someone carrying a RF..so probably you´re really the only one!! (another RFFer from Vienna... cool )

Don´t be put off asking questions because your English isn´t good or something, all the friendly people here will gladly help you out!! (most here will understand poor english much better than good german I guess ;-))

Enjoy your camera and post some pics!!
regards,
fred

Welcome.... have fun with that camera_ _ _ _Im sure you will become familar with it once you have shot with it a few times.
Regards
Steve

Most people here will understand poor English better than good English.

Have fun with the camera. It's a winner.

Hi everybody, thanks for your warm welcome in the community.
I'll post some pics asap. Still do some training on the "job". - I want to have a good start!!

Russel: yes it's really a winner; I sold my complete Canon 1d stuff this week - and i don't miss one piece.

Everbody who says I am crazy, I laugh at - I am back to real photograpy. And ... I love it. (Although I have some problems with rangefinder)

Thanks to the forum I already ordered a magnifier, and I'll hope it will be better.

Welcome gs-ninja I'm sure you will love the R-D1.

As well as some of the threads be sure to check out Rich Cutler's excellent FAQ on the R-D1 if you have not already done so:

http://www.richcutler.co.uk/r-d1/r-d1_01.htm

There are known problems with the rangefinder on some R-D1's so this or some of the threads on this may help. Just ask if you need more help.

Welcome to this nice forum! I'm not living in vienna but in germany, so feel free to drop me a mail.
But nevertheless in most cases it seems to be better to share our thoughts out here in the forum ;-)

Enjoy your Rd-1 GS-Ninja and do show us some shots of beautifull Vienna.
This is a cosmopolitan community, so don't worry about correct English.
