Seeking new inspiration to resuscitate my photo hobby on an upcoming holiday I bought a brand new R-1Ds and the Voigtlander 35/1.2 as a starter kit. The stores here in Tokyo still have stock on sale - price was around $1900 USD new. I've always had a love for RF but never had the patience to learn the ins and outs with film - so now my theory is I can get proficient enough to use an RF on digital and even perhaps one day step back into RF on film via Leica or Bessa.
I'll post again after return from my holidays assuming I can sneak the Amex bill past the wife -
BTW - a big "Thank You" to this forum's members - it really swung me to the R-D1 as its apparent there is an active and sharing community!

Yah, It is so cheap. Mine was purchased from E-bay. Seller shop is in Japan.
He sold it as $2400. Now, I feel ripped off a bit and envy you ^^
