Yes, lets hear! After finally getting my hands on an M6 for the standard and long lenses, I am seriously thinking about following Back Alley's lead and selling my ZM and getting the R4 with a 21mm.

Cheers,
Alan

sold the black one fanman, keeping the silver.
i'm adding an r4m for the new zm21 i want to buy and for the zm 25 i already have.
and that will be it for me i think...

I bit, R4a ordered. I hope to have it to try out at the Boston Marathon, which if it is good weather, I will attend to see the event.

I picked up mine from the post office this morning, love it. [I have an L, T, R & a R2 all silver but the R2]

It is the only one I have with the newer style body and have not shot anything yet [OK, so I have 3 accidental shots of the inside of a lens cover as I loaded it THEN started playing with it  ]

I like the half stop metering instead of 3 lights, I think my T will get the 75 & 90 lenses, the L will stick with the non-coupled 25MM and the R4M will get the rest, the R & R2 will become shelf queens.

I will be sending Stephen a deposit for the coupled 25.

Lenses:

21MM 25MM and the 35MM classic: non event for the viewfinder,

28MM f1.9 covers a small amount of the view, but for me it will not be an issue at all. [I had to LOOK for the overlap]

35MM f1.2 aka "the Beast" ok yeah it gets into the frame, but I can live with it when I need the low light lens, it is a gotta have.

50MM f1.5 it also gets into the viewfinder, but again not bad to me,

overall, pre shooting it is a homerun. I plan on ordering another Luigi half case, one with slightly darker leather than the stock light brown he has ready to ship just to match it's beauty. I already have a Luigi on the R2 at least until I move it.:D

Is the build quality of the 4m equal to that of the previous models ?
it feels much more solid than the R and R2, the diopter threadmount and better metering added to not using add on viewfinders is great. I look forward to a long LOOOOOONG time shooting with the R4M.

that 28/1.9 is a big lens and it barely gets in the way? good news for my 25/2.8 then, i would think.

i just sent stephen an email...:)

if you can tell me where to find the framlines on the net I can draw a line for you. on the 28 f1.9 it blocks a lower area half way between the lower "L" and the vertical "/" that is between the two corners.

It goes below the focus patch and goes left to the -1 on the meter all in the right lower corner of the viewfinder.

Dan, when you get the chance to play with it more, I'd be curious to hear how accurately the R4M can focus the 35/1.2 and 50/1.5 wide open.
