New Record...

Both my kids are in the High School Marching Band and I shoot their events...
I just took in 41 rolls (200 ASA 36 ex.) this would be a new one time record for me...usually I take them in every other week but this year I waited a bit...(Dev. to CD only)
We have one more Competition next week too...

At home now and getting ready to reel two rolls of 120 and a roll of 220...
I should look around to see if there are more rolls hiding somewhere...:bang:

My new record was set recently with my grandkids. 8 x 36 exp. rolls in 4 days. It was fun.

I usually restrain myself to 2-3 rolls a day. As it is all bl/w I have to process it myself and doing more than 10-15 rolls is really boring! However. in the 70's and 80's I did a lot of Audio-Visual work for various companies. At one time I did an almost "live" show with 18 projectors and 15-18 shots projected/sec. Too shoot this, very boring subject, of forklifts hauling wood and unloading lumber (50 tonnes at a time!) I used Nikon F2's with motor drives. There were 4 bodies, 20mm,35mm and 85mm and my perennial favourite, the 105/2,5. I had an assistant whose job it was to load the 2nd batch of cameras (same set of bodies, same set of lenses) as well as handing me Metz 45 flashes with fresh batteries every 10-15 minutes.
The take varied from a low of 60 rolls Ektachrome to 100+ rolls/day. The lab was very happy, but trust me, the editing was murder. I filled two garbage cans with out-takes. This is one time when digital would have been nice!
Once you had selected and "flow charted" the slides I had to synchronize the whole thing. Twenty Kodak Ektagraphics with Dove "drives". It took almost 100 hours to get the flow right! All in all I used 1600 shots out of about 17000 or 18000, all remounted in Gepe mounts with various cut outs for details. I wish that I had been able to put all of that on a DVD today - just to ensure myself that I never would want to do that again!
