"New" Retina I - help in determining year?

I was given a nice little Retina I for a birthday present.


The serial number inside the body is 59414.

Shutter is Compur-Rapid

Lens is Kodak Ektar Anastigmat f:3,5 F=5cm.

Can someone put an approximate date on this camera ?



Shutter works even down to 1 sec. Need to clean the glass and burn a test roll.

What is the serial number of the lens? Does it use the "CAMEROSITY" coding? The first two letters of the Serial number often give the year of manufacture. C=1, A= 2, ...T= 9, Y= 0.
