New RFF Server ONLINE 3/16/2008

All good, but too much blue! Can this be adjusted? White works much better I think.

There is now a white option available. This is just a temporary fix to appease some of those wanting white. It will be changing eventually but it should get you going for now. It is call VBP Hexcell Xpand and can be selected from the drop down list.

I do notice one difference. When I enter a thread the second time, it still points to the first message, rather than taking me to just past the previous last message read or a message I posted. Not a big issue, but I thought I'd mention it.

Thanks for the improvement. Seems faster. The blue is hideous ( trying some other skins). Is there ANY way to fix the search feature. It's not only poor, but you have to wait 30_seconds_between_searches?!! This really frustrating, especially when the search feature fails to return any results.

Search work like a champ for me now that full text search is in place. Put your specific search needs within double quotes for exact matches.

It is a lot faster now, great ! Only problem (on my side), using Firefox, the buttons to insert some image (or link) don't work anymore. Something to do with Java or Javascript ?

Cheers,

Maddoc

Another request: I have the option of displaying up to 40 posts in a thread at a time. Could this be increased to, say 100? With broadband and faster server this would be a better option for many.

Just a few thoughts on my experience so far - wow, the performance improvement is amazing.

One minor glitch I got was that after my first session earlier, when I switched to the black-on-white look, I went away and came back again it find it switched back to white-on-black and stuck that way - if I tried to change it with the pop-up menu it simply ignored me.

The solution was to delete my cookie and come back and log in again - after that it's been working just fine.

So, once again, thanks for the upgrades, and for getting the random gallery shots back :D

I am also having a problem with Firefox. When I post on a thread it doesnt seem like it has added my post. You simple get a done in the bottom corner and your text is still in the message box as if it hasnt been added to the thread. When you go back and check the thread again you find that it has been added but i can see how you will think your post hasnt been submitted at first. This also means that if keep hitting the submit button that your post will keep being submitted multiple times till you realise and have to go back and delete them like i just had to with this post.

I like the new look though.

I preferred when the classified on the front page reflected the last four postings. Right now it doesn't, but rather shows items based on some strange criteria that is not clear. There are too many old items appearing on the front page that are listed as sold. Why should that pop-up and why would that matter to me?

When they were the last four postings I would obsessively come and visit this site, look over the new threads to see what I would like to comment on, and see if there are any new gear items of interest. When off the home page, the classifieds seem to loose emphasis.

my 2 cents, thanks for reading

The 4 most recent classified member ads are now on the front page. The sponsor ads are random on the front page.
