Looks *extremely interesting*
Mods: given this camera, the Sigma DP1, and the existing Ricoh GR-D users, can we have a "It isn't a rangefinder but manages to distill some of the spirit of one into a compact digital body" forum?
I mean, it has a shoe-mount zoom finder and everything

I wonder, do people really want a camera that has to have an add on veiwer.? Why not just build it into the camera in the first place? I hate to say it, but it's really ugly. I would think that making something that looks like an old rangefinder would sell the best, rather than try to make another AMC Pacer.

ccs: with the external viewfinder, you can use the camera without looking at the LCD. This effectively gives the camera a different feel when compared to other P&S digi cams. It would be great if they can implement a built-in viewfinder but I assume a vf of as high quality as the add-on will make the camera larger than it is now and the camera lose its pocketability. I would have liked a ****ty internal viewfinder still though.

To me the only one really promising is the DP1, the foveon sensor seems capable of image quality comparable to the sensor in the M8, no AA and no CFA needed, and all in a pocketable format, unless it is let down by the lens quality it could really be a winner.

I figured there would be people that did-they did have a good motor. I didn't even know they shipped them to the U.K.Terao said:I quite liked the AMC Pacer![]()
It just goes to show you that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder and the older I get the more I realize that what I think becomes more and more the minority opinion. Still even though I don't know for sure how much more is involved in building the viewfinder in these new cameras, I can't help but think (my opinion) that what would really sell well is a digital Contax T or T2 look alike.
