lots of gloomy gus's here…fuji expands it's line up and folks are upset?
we now have a lower end line, a regular line and zooms…and more zooms and primes on the way.
out of the 5 lenses on the new roadmap, 2 are primes! a fast wide, just what we were talking about last week!! and a longer prime, a lens that so many have been begging for.
seems impossible to please some folks...
I agree, I'm pretty happy with the lineup now, I don't think anyone could ask for more besides fairly exotic speciality lenses. While I don't think i'll buy any of them, they sound pretty cool.

Why put that lens on an XPro1? Think how much bigger it will be than the 18-55 f2.8-4. You won't be able to use the OVF and the EVF on the XE2 is better.
why not? the size should be manageable with the accessory grip. viewfinder blockage in the optical viewfinder will be worse, but who cares if you're just snapping the camera up to your eye like most people do? the latest firmware update also made the framelines more accurate. yeah, the x-pro1's evf isn't as good as the x-e2, but i'm sure the x-pro2's evf will be upgraded.

Large diameter wide angle - 16mm f1.4? Or around there?
I'd be happy with a smaller 16/2.8.

I know I'm the only one wanting such a thing, but I'd love it if Fuji would come out with a small line of manual focus lenses for the X bodies. Designed something like the old pre-Ai Nikkors (big comfortable knurled focusing rings). These lenses would be smaller since they don't need the build in motor. I still dislike the focus-by-wire of the XF lenses and this drives me to try non-Fuji lenses via adapters.

I like this idea as well. I wonder about cost.
Could Fuji produce and sell for example the 35mm f1.4 with manual focus helical for less or the same price as the AF version?
It's an unlikely scenario but a potentially interesting one.

You're not the only one, but unfortunately there's not enough of us to make it a commercially viable project.I know I'm the only one wanting such a thing, but I'd love it if Fuji would come out with a small line of manual focus lenses for the X bodies.

I guess we thought of Fuji being a bit different... more prime oriented. I won't be happy until there is a FF X-Pro body with super fast AF and super small, but quality lenses.

I didn't realize most people do this with a zoom. I guess i am in the minority who take a more deliberate approach.viewfinder blockage in the optical viewfinder will be worse, but who cares if you're just snapping the camera up to your eye like most people do?.
