Quite excited: after many years of contemplating a SWC, it finally arrived on Saturday morning. I was up at 6:30 just to make sure I did not miss the postman, who eventually arrived at 9:00.

After a hour or so playing, I fitted the polaroid back and fired a couple shots of the garden. Looked okay, but impossible to see if the lens was sharp.

The OVF seems to be much derided on the web, but too be honest it's not that bad. Not nearly as contrasty as the Zeiss ZM finders, but perfectly useable.
A little curvature. The bubble is a certainly a plus and seems to work at getting the camera squared up.
(NB: the Zeiss finders wont even fit on the accessory shoe - and if they did it's too far inboard to reach with your eye).

I went out for a walk to Calumet and bought all the Tri-X they had (only 4 rolls - and one was out of date) then finally in the evening when the sun broke through the clouds, took some pictures.
Out again this morning. By 5pm I had developed 2 of the 3 rolls of Tri-X in Rodinal 1+50 16mins semi-stand.
Scanned those in using a DSLR (the cheapest on the market?) a E-420.

Damn ... there's a light leak
Guess the seals on the RV age back need replaced ?
I've sent an e-mail off the Ffordes - and I'm trusting they will fix the back.

Holyrood, guards on duty - I think the Queen was up for a garden party.

Tiny spot of leak to the upper right hand side, it doesn't go into the picture area in most of the shot, why bother? Check the foam and glue something in.

Yes, I can see, the problem is there is no foam here, you have to check if the relief border on the camera is not damaged, in case it is I would consider returning it to the seller. You can always make some home made adjustment, but in practical use it will not hold up.
