My M5s need red dots!
Check from THIS THREAD from photo.net. I posted the announcement text in the Leica M forum.
Hmmm.. I don't have a 50mm RF lens. I've never used my M2's 50mm framelines. Is it time? :-D
A comparison with the Nokton would be most interesting.

Doug, the expected price for this chunk of glass is (are you sitting) $ 2500. I guess the Nokton is really looking good at $ 319 (in Central Camera, Chicago).
I would like to see old Summilux prices plummet, but then... since I already have a 'cron 50/2, when would I use the additional stop I'd get with a 'lux?
Must admit the 'lux looks really cool on the M6 bodies...

Yow! Quality does come at a price, but sometimes it's just not feasible. I'll have to wait for Cosina or Pentax or... to match that.
In a relevant issue, with used medium format stuff so cheap, I've been keeping my eye open for additional Pentax 67 lenses, particularly the 135mm macro. Then I discovered it only focusses down to 1:4 magnification at 1.5m. Well, the most expensive lens I've ever bought, the new 75mm f/2.8 Aspheric for Pentax 67, gets down to .41m, and I figure the magnification at around 1:2.4... Now why would I want that 135mm Macro??? The 75 even has a floating element to aid correction at close distances.
Now that sounds a little like the new Summilux Asph doesn't it? Aspheric surface, floating element... And the big Pentax lens is $750 at B&H. C'mon Pentax, make some M lenses!
