New tech page: How Curves Work in Photoshop

Thanks Chris. I've been visiting your site regularly now that you have the technical info section. It's been very helpful in many occasions.

I've added a new page to my technical info section on my website. This one explains in detail how the curves adjustment command works in Photoshop for adjusting contrast, color, and overall image brightness. <snip>

Chris: well done! It appears that many who post photos here do not understand just how necessary and critical a curve adjustment (preferably in a separate layer) is for any scanned film and for many digitally captured images.

Every image (without exception!) I have done for the past 11 years had required a curve adjustment. Now I do shoot film and output digitally.

Chris, over the months I've known you, you've been a great help both on RFF and in some offsite correspondences we've had. As I'm a complete dummy about PS, you have no idea how helpful this latest installment is going to be. A big fat thanks.

I'm glad its helped everyone here. I was looking through some files on my computer when i found a PDF explaining curves that I created 8 or 9 years ago to help a friend. I decided to rewrite it a bit and redo the layout, which was kinda amateurish looking. Then I decided to put the content on the website as a regular webpage to go along with my other tech pages.
