One reason I think is that we have witnessed the development of this project, so we feel connected/invested in it.
It would be the most personal lens purchase I have made, with my custom engraving and choice of finish.

Oh, my mistake. The front ring will have "China" in red. These front rings were batch made before the final customization step. So all the front rings will look like the sample above.

I am able to find this picture to show you the brass lens without the lens cap. Even though they are the final stage prototype, the final retail product will look exactly like this. The engraving is different though.

As the others said, thank you so much for showing us all the progress from the beginning. A fantastic job has been done so far, and the results and testing pictures are awesome.
