Yea you are right. The reproduction was black paint S-Mount in 2005. I have this one in my collection. I also have the original Nikkor 35 1.8 LTM version. But this one haven’t been reproduced before. I guess it’s the one he mentioned. 🙂

Kevin has got what I meant. The LTM version is rare-ish, expensive and often in poor condition. If old lenses are to be reproduced then the Nikkor would be an excellent candidate.

There isn’t any optical difference between the original and reissue. The only difference I can tell is the modern greenish coating has been used on the new lens.

how do you know that the 35/2 8 element is not as interesting?
personally i know about the Leica lens but none for the Nikkor lens.
