[New test photos released] Leica Summicron 35/2 Eight Element copy made in China

The replica in brass and a black camera body look very cool together. I must admit it.

The chrome and black versions look nice, but just like any other lens out there..
In brass? Nothing like it. It's going to be the one that will be worth much more in the future. I think it looks better on a silver body or.. heavily brassed black paint body!

I'm looking forward to sporting a brass lens on my titanium M6!

I give up, Emile!
To Russ: you will make a profit of $5.99 in the future after you sell your shiny bright brass finish lens 🙂

Chrome, Black, Brass...they all look beautiful and when I see some of the images the replica lens is capable of...that's a double portion of icing on the cake. an impressive achievement by Mr. Zhou, his entire team and of course Kevin, all contributing to make this happen. Can't wait for mine (I selected chrome). Please keep the images and feedback of this lens coming. 🙂

After a long day at work I got to unbox my copy. Bravo Mr.Zhou, the lens every bit up to Leica's standards (and I mean 60s standards, the lens feels just like my 50mm Rigid 'cron) and the metal keeper case is so solid. Two things to note though, the little red alignment dot is a pretty close fit for the lens release button on my particular M4 and the lens release guard on my M3 won't let me mount the lens at all.

Finally thank you Kevin for being such a gent in handling all this. Be patient guys!

Some quick photos before I head out for my run:

The last several posted replicas had numbers ending with 4. Hm. Is there a system here?
144, 154, 164, ... [mine is 194]?

I will test my lens when I get it. A 35mm lens should fit smoothly all M mount cameras . The Summicron was meant for the M3.
