There may be circumstances that we do not know. It could be that the company needs cash, so they sell a few lenses. Maybe it is one lens owner?

As Raid commented, this is ebay anything goes.

Bregeut Camera is well known for its (usually) inflated prices but if you have to have the lens right now, there it is for the taking.

Also, imo while the price is expensive compared to the V1, it is entirely reasonable given the quality of the materials used and its solid construction. This lens aint no MS Optics type flimsy and cheap feeling toy glued together with superglue.

I don’t know what about you guys, but i was waiting for a black paint one but couldn’t have mine because of factory’s capacity to produce it on time, even having sent my reservation on time and confirmed by Kevin, as i already explaned 2 some days ago.
So, when I see that someone is selling one on eBay for twice the asked price by Kevin, i feel a little bit upset...even if, for sure, everybody is free to sell any gear on his own

You’re still on the list for the V1 at the bargain price of $500 and will get your lens eventually, right??? Patience grasshopper, patience...
 
Thanks Kevin. Not suprised others have seen the demand for the lens and that particular love affair ended with a sale.

I will be keeping my V1, and treasure it when I get to use it. This just adds to the sense that I have something special coming, and current absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I also enjoyed seeing the images of the black finish on the lens for sale - looks great.
