[New test photos released] Leica Summicron 35/2 Eight Element copy made in China

I was not sure which currency was meant.

¥ is the money symbol for Japanese Yen, now it also used by Chinese Yuan

Japanese took Chinese Character 圓 simplify it to '円' for Japanese dollar, pronounced it Yen to Chinese Yuan (it's now simplified to 元)

It's hovering around US 1 to 7 Yuan before, today, Oct 18, it's 6.7 Yuan to a Dollar

A genuine Leica IROOA hood (which I already have) can be bought on the used market in Europe for that kind of money so it's not very tempting.

Can someone confirm if the Leica 12504 vented clip on hood will work with the Cron v1 8 element?

Over on the LUF wiki it's listed as for the 35 Cron v2-4 & ASPH, among other lenses...

If it fits, I guess it's not reversible? Would the 12585 be preferred?

I guess the Taobao listing is a reseller? I kind of got the impression from Kevin that the LLL made hood would cost less.

Price wise it's on par with other third-party IROOA copy that's been around for a while. With the added functionality I'd say it's pretty good value.

My feeling is that the profit margin on the hood has been much thinner than the lenses.

Has anyone received an LLL replica lens recently? I paid for mine towards the end of August but have not had word on shipment yet.

I received an email from Kevin recently he is awaiting a new batch of black lenses. Things were temporarily halted during the Golden Week holiday that has just ended. We should see shipments resume soon, and he thanked us for our patience. I too completed payment in that timeframe.
