Hey all, just got a Rollei 35S from one of the guys on here. I was just curious -- when the shutter is cocked, moving the shutter speed dial causes a bit of gear whine noise. If the shutter isn't cocked, it doesn't make any noise.
Just wanted to be careful not to break anything (as far as I know, there's nothing about it that warns against selecting shutter speeds before the shutter is cocked, like on my IIIc). My guess is that it's normal, because the Rollei 35s are notoriously quirky due to their ground-up, innovative (weird) design, with a focus on tiny size...
Thanks all, test roll to come in a couple days,
