Hello I just just got a Zorki 4k in the mail. It was a trade for my Canonet GIII. My Zorki seems like its in great shape and came with the brown zorki case. I must say it seems VERY different from the Canonet or my Bessa R3a. I actually dont even know where to begin. I just downloaded a copy of the manual. Any words of advice before go any further with this camera? As a FSU Leica copy, how close are the copies? I definetly like the look and feel of it.

Thanks

Just in case you didn't read G'mans post: Cock the shutter before changing shutter speeds!!

If the view finder looks fuzzy, change the dipter setting with the lever beside the view finder until you like the view.

Thanks a lot. He also sent a lens hood and a black shiney top plate. Not quite sure why. Guess he has no need for it.

Hmmm Well if I like the camera that could definetly be a weekend project. Would look nice. No text or anything on the top plate. How close of a copy are these to a Leica and which Leica is it a copy of? III?

So basicly its just a copy of the parts.... without the quality?
Is there a way to get a strap lug for the hole that was drilled into the side of the body?

Thanks for your ideas. Ill try to shoot a roll this weekend.
I also have to send a test roll through my Pentax to test out my new 50 1.4....
I'm starting to feel like a "Gear Head". I better get out there and use it all now that the weather is getting nice.
