New Toy

Got a hold of a FED-2 type B-4 Serial # 348361 with a lens Inds 26m 50mm F-2.8 serial # 136545. I must say that handle-ing a camera like this size and weight makes a sure difference in comfort of handle-ing it , Nice to handle and to enjoy when walking around shooting with it< , I found a manual at Butkus.

I have loaded a couple of fotos that I just took with it the other day while the sun was out, The camera is so nice its Like it never got used ,If it did it was very well cared for :
I got a special presentation FED-2 camera , it was given to someone for 60 years of service at the factory 08/19/1962 so the date states on the camera, The lens is smooth as one would want it to be, DId make a mistake with it went out with a Fuji neopan SS 100 ISO film never had used it before , should have taken Fp-4 or HP-5 which I am use to: I have to remember one thing not to turn film advance with Glove's on , Made me think I had a counter problem ! [LOL] I also got a Jupiiter -11 135mm F-4 in very good condition still has some of its coating the factory put on them , will polish it soon :

I got a feeling I am going to enjoy use-ing this camera a Lot: Lauren

Lauren, FP4 is -- or used to be -- just a third of a stop faster than ASA 100.

Looks like there's nothing wrong with the pictures you took anyway, they're nice!
