...three of 'em, in fact. I am a happy boy.

#1 is the Nikonos V that Lars (Meakin) sold me. It was waiting for me when I got back from my trip, it may not be a rangefinder but its BOOTIFULL!!!!! I'd swear it has never had film or batteries loaded into it. 😀

#2 is a Canonet G-III Ql17 or whatever the hell they're called, strictly speaking this is not mine, but the missus'..... she wanted something small, light and fully manual yet good qaulity that she could carry around; a friend had the Canonet going cheap, after a clean up and new light seals its sweeeet. So Cary is now a Rangefinder user as well 🙂, knowing my luck she'll like it so much that she'll want matching his-n-hers Leicas........ 🙁

#3 is definately a bit left field, I've got my hands on a Linhof Technika IV 6x9..... It DOES have a rangefinder, but is almost the total antithesis of what we consider Rangefinder photography. But I took it out for a play yesterday and it was a lot of fun 😉

Doug, I got a Schneider 105/f3.5 and a Schneider 180/f5.5 with it. Both in Synchro-Compur shutters.
I was planning on avoiding view cameras, in spite of having a lot of interest, but this kit came along cheap and I couldn't resist. The camera is cosmetically doggy, but appears to be fine functionally. Of course, there may be light leaks etc but I've had a good look in a dark room with a torch and can't see any obvious ones.
The kit was: Tek IV, 6x9 sheetfilm back, 6x7 super rollex back, two lenses, lens hood, filters, the set of 4 viewfinder masks, and a few odds and ends, all in an original Linhof leather case. The lenses are clean and clear, the shutters appear to be accurate-ish.
So we will see how the shots turn out.........

Sounds great so far! Many years ago I had a source for copies of Linhof's house magazine, Grossbild Technik, to drool over; glorious illustrations of what can be done with a larger film format and a few movements.

Hey there Tim. Sounds like you got some nice pieces of kit there mate. I have been having some fun with my Graflex Century Graphic. This baby has the 6x9 rollfilm back that takes 8 shots on 120 film. Now all I need to do is get the first roll of film developed. That and remember to take the dark-slide out of the film back when I take a photo (fogot twice on Saturday night in the excitement of a beautiful sunset behind the Opera House and Bridge).

Hmmmmmmm, Heath, I think you and I need to meet up one weekend with view cameras and tripods......

Got the film back from the first expedition with the Linhof, my technique sucks but the camera and lenses are good......Went out again this weekend to try and improve. Having movements is fascinating.

But it won't be replacing the Leica as my main camera any time soon! 😉
