New Trailer for Movie "Lee" aka photog Lee Miller

Kate Winslet not withstanding, I expect it to be out on DVD fairly quickly. I'll wait, the ordeal of insanely loud sound and the exorbitant price of admission has me quitting the whole theater thing.

hi, Thanks for heads up,
Kate Winslet does resembles Lee Miller,

She was 36 ( right 2nd ) in 1943, quite beautiful i'd think, and had a Rolleiflex (?) with her...

Winslet was 46 when she played Lee in 2023 (She was the producer too) ...i'm big fan of Ms Winslet since...'Hideous Kinky' 😅 ( 1998 )

Lee Miller ( right 2nd) 1943, at the age of 36

I'm still occasionally a sucker for the big screen.....as i will be for this one..... (there are always earplugs....)

I must say Lee Miller does not appear very happy in the group photo above.

And, yes, films in theaters have become too loud and too dark. It's not a pleasant experience, not being able to stand the sound and not being able to see the images.

I stream a lot of movies through Xfinity but still have and use an Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player. My local library has an extensive DVD (and inter-library) loan collection (movies, TV-Series,etc).

pay the ridiculous money to go to a theater
I have grown in Moscow. To me theater is were they play alive.
Never been in western world theaters. Hard to find not a place with musicals.
Move theaters are not expensive comparing to live performance of overpaid losers a.k.a. Maple Leafs. Take one or two with you to see those clowns, no money for mortgage monthly payment.

K, I grew up in Montreal and never for the life of me could understand how people filled the stands and arenas to watch the Maple Leafs or Blue Jays lose year after year.

I stay a lot of places off grid with no internet. A solar charger, big battery power bank, tv and dvd player are good in the evenings, which start early in the Austral winter. DVDs are usually only a few dollars now, and I like re-watching things, so it works for me.

No words were said about the work of two females who are center to the topics of this thread. Btu we do have comments on their age and look.

I think you missed that the entire topic of this thread is in admiration of the work of Ms Winslet and Ms Miller in their respective fields.

(And some comments on the state of film presentation and technological advances as well.)

My whole purpose in this is because of my admiration for Lee Miller. Her work is, to me, at LEAST on a par with Capa and is only finally getting the recognition it deserves. I really hope this movie is as good as it should be and I look forward to going to see it.

W, after seeing your post and viewing the trailer, I went down to my local library. Surprisingly, nothing in their building or associated system. Ordered up several biographies & photo books on inter-library loan.
