New user, Leica M6 musings & first negative scans.

Excellent idea, another member also recommended the same advice to me! I'm going to try this hopefully tomight. And thank you, I like 307 too. 🙂

What do you mean by "pure scans"? I find that my scans from Vuescan generally look super flat before I do any post-processing. They're supposed to be that way to retain as much information as possible. However, I didn't realize that for quite some time and gave up on film entirely, as a result of my not understanding the scanning process correctly.

I didnt read your entire post, however, a nice series of pictures. Well done.

I loathe photoshop too, or more specifically I hate it when my hobbies require time in front of a computer, that's what work is for. That said, photoshop elements only costs 100 bucks, which is well worth it for the healing tool to remove dust and the level tools to adjust shadows and highlights...🙂

PS Elements comes free with many scanners. Or use GIMP freeware for basic tools/cleanup.

These are nice shots: they are imaginative and that is not easily achieved regardless of which camera you use. I would not call these shots "lacklustre". Keep shooting and you and the Leica will be one. I have an M4 and it and I are an item, depending on my state of mind at the time.
