Looks like a little brother for the XT1. Lighter, smaller, less grip(boo) and .62 VF with the xf35 and 100% view. $800 body only via cnet news.
It's a bit smallish for me but some may like it.
AF is supposed to be dramaticaly improved and shutter lag down to .005.
Ps. Looks like the f2/90mm is slated for July availability. Some sample images at fujirumors and elsewhere online. $950 they say.

Thanks for sharing Andy,
I think I actually like the looks of this one better than the XT1.
The price point is certainly appealing!

The xt1 looks like it will get most if not all the af improvements via the fw update 4.0 I posted about a while back.
Little brother looks good to me. At this price point, I wonder what they are going to do about an xe-3?

I'm quite certain that this is effectively X-E3. It just looks like a different packaging of the X-E2 electronics with updated firmware. They probably decided that people are more into SLR look after X-T1 release that was a huge success compared to their previous attempts in the mirrorless market.

OH NO!!!
I don't want an SLR look... I want a RF look for the X-E3.....

Man.... I hope not.
The XE line has become my favorite and I'm using a "lowly" xe1 with a grip from 2012.
Would love an XE model with that big VF from the xt1.
A bit more size and grip surface would suit me fine.
The XT1 is a bit cramped for 10" hands.
I'm stoked with Fuji. This new model is great although not for me.... Imagine it at $650 by October
How many adopters then

It's smaller than an OM-1......OMG! (read not the camera (that would be OM-G)).

I REALLY hope that is not the future of the X's.
That would be a big disappointment for me.
I don't want to think about that.

Nah.... There will be an XP2![]()
Well, I hope. I suppose my concern is that this new XT10 went the "smaller" route. I quite like the XP1 and its size. Sometimes, more is less.

Was hoping to see the new f2/35mm released with the 90mm.
Looks like it's not to be. The f2/35 is actually the next lens I would buy.
The 90mm looks great but, if I'm honest.... I use my 5Dii for tele work.

I'm with you on this. I was hoping to make the 35/2 my first and only Fuji lens. Tick tock!

Bingo. One Sony sensor modified to make 3 X-Trans I cameras (X-Pro1, XM-1 , XE-1), 3 X-Trans II cameras (XE-2, X-T1, XT-10), and 2 Bayer cameras (XA-1 and XA-2). Even writing as someone who uses Fuji 6x9s older than I am, I'd have to say that Fuji is making no progress in actual image quality -- and is starting to make cameras whose novelty-style design strongly resembles the Time-Life "35mm camera" that was given away with magazine subscriptions in the 1980s. Of course, most of Fuji's fawning preproduction "reviewers" weren't even born until after that.Once again a new box around the same old ingredients. How often did I read that Fuji is so progressive because they don't sell the old sensors with new housing just like CaNikon..... Not that the sensor is bad but that argument is dead at the moment. I like the X100, Xpro, X-t1 but that new box does not look nice (for my taste)
If you don't believe me on the X-T10's design, check out:

Maybe so Dante but they have made improvements along the way as well.
Not every update and improvement can come via firmware.
At some point hardware will need to be upgraded as well.
As to using the same sensor??
Why not? Does it really lack anything with the native lenses provided?
16mp seems a sweet spot for apsc. I don't want smaller pixels.
When I need larger enlargement capability I go for a ff canon.
If Fuji wants to go ff or mf .... That's another story.
If Fuji really wanted to do something slick, the would build a RAF to DNG engine that squeezes those nice Xtrans files into a form that Editing suites could more easily manipulate.

My biggest beef isn't with Fuji directly, but with the lackluster support in Lightroom.
Also, for the rumoured X-Pro2, one wonders if they are able to stuff the lovely X-T1 viewfinder into an X-Pro2 body. Does it even work in a hybrid-style finder?
Finally, there's been some accusations that Fuji is cheating with its ISO/noise results.
I use an X-Pro1 quite a lot, but only have the one 35mm 1.4 lens. I just wonder if the Fuji system is the way to go or to jump ship to the Sony FE system (which has equally poor lens choices).

Folks have their Fuji gripes, but I can not recall lenses typically being one of them. Or, is that not what you meant?

Sorry, I should probably clarify...
I like the Fuji lenses that are out there, but compared to the options available from the Canon/Nikon (or even Sony/Minolta A-mount) brands, choices are somewhat limited. Of course, I'm not really taking into account adapters and manual focus legacy glass.

Thanks for that. As an XF and FE user, I can appreciate your FE comments! On the XT10, it would seem that new 35/2 can't arrive quick enough! How about a 23/2?

just curious
I loved my X-Pro 1's when I had them, and still love the design. I got them because the X100 had such gorgeous black and white images, nothing up until then produced digital BW quite the same way, or ones that didnt require post processing to make them look like the way I wanted them to. But truthfully I actually shoot 100% color and opt to switch later in post, and thats the way I hve been shooting digital since day one --except I was convinced that the BW fuji look was where its at. I shot mostly in jpg and looking back I regret that immensely as there are images I should have shot in color. Only a month ago I traded out of Fuji entirely and into something else for the simple reason that I want to do as much video as stills now and fuji are not going in that direction. Since changing and being 'at home' with the new gear the differences between one brad over another in terms of IQ isnt really that much. I have grown to like my new gear's look more then I did the look from the fuji. Oh how fickle we are..
