New Yashica MAt 124G needs work...

I grabbed a 124G from eBay last week. The camera is in excellent condition save for the fogged/oily rear lens which research shows as a pretty common issue. I'm waiting on a lens spanner to come in so I can get in there and clean. You can see from the images below that anything bright was completely flared out. At least the lens appears to be sharp and the film advance works perfectly. We'll see how things look once it gets cleaned up. It took quite a bit of post work to get these to look this good.

Thanks for the inspirational images.

I remember coming across that link with the 2 nail woodblock thingy in my research. I'm pretty daring when it comes to tinkering with and repairing stuff, but no way in hell was I doing that. 😱
