I know it's late notice, but I just saw this in the local paper - there is a free outdoor photography workshop being offered at the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park, New York. The grounds are really beautiful and there are views of the Hudson River.
And it's free and no reservations are required. Photographer Chris Gould and National Park Service curator Frank Futral will hold the workshop.
If anyone wants to go, but isn't sure where it is, just drop me a PM and I'll give you directions.
