It looks like he's using a Nikon F (the chrome body) and an FM or FE (black body with flash shoe). I don't know about the flash.

He's good at what he does. Works fast with a minimum of gear and bs.

Some people like covering the society page. To me it's extremely boring. I'm sure he must be having fun with it as long as he's been doing it. But a lot of it is going to parties and taking snapshots of guests/red carpet pics.

I'm familiar with his pictures, but after 20 years in Manhattan, i've never seen him in person. I guess i don't get out enough.....

The flash looks like the Vivitar 285, at least in a few glimpses in the trailer.

Somehow I remember that he nowadays uses a Nikon FM2 as his main axe. Can't remember whether it came up in the NYTimes some time ago, or another place. Look for his audio slide shows on the NYTimes!
