The 35/2 Biogon is a proven performer so unless the 35/2.8 is significantly less expensive or has proven itself to be as good or better the 35/2 is the it lens.

In Japan there is a significant price difference (20%) between the two, but not outside.
Matsuiyastore's price (US$798=approx. JPY85,000) is significantly higher than Map Camera's price (69,900, or 72,000 including consumption tax).

In Switzerland the C Biogon 2,8/35 ZM costs even less than the Planar 2/50 ZM. Edit: But the latter is overpriced (compared to the prices abroad)...In Japan there is a significant price difference (20%) between the two, but not outside.

What shop did you check in Switzerland? Do they sell online too?
I am located in the EU and would be very interested in the info.
Thanks, Horea

The MSRP was quoted in the recent issue of the "Leica COURRIER". Leica Switzerland is the distributor for Zeiss lenses in Switzerland. Quite funny, isn't it?What shop did you check in Switzerland? Do they sell online too?
