Having found happiness with a Leica IIIa and Summar,
I indulged again and picked up a Leica II with an uncoated
Elmar. My wife and I went hiking yesterday and, well, with
a Leica, it seems, passions can overwhelm someone not
quite yet in control of the beast:

Is this what they mean by
"Leica glow"?

Who cares if this is the Leica glow, the important thing is , this is a very well made shot - my preference would be to burn in a bit the lower right corner, but anyway this is a first rate image, bravo!

Nice shot. Weston would be proud, and maybe a little jealous that you didn't have to lug around an 8x10 view camera to get such pleasing results! BTW, thanks for adding the nudity "warning" in the subject. 🙂

🙂

Thanks, all, for the kind words. Regarding the lower right corner: I may try burning the corner when I go to print. But this is a straight scan from the negative. I thought viewers of the forum might prefer to see an unmanipulated scan, better to appreciate how the Elmar held up under these conditions. Sanders

Great shot!
I would add to the comments about a touch of burning in the lower right corner.

For my eyes, a touch less contrast would be nice as well.

Bravo!

I guess that the suggestion of "burning" the lower right should actually be "dodging". (Strange, I seem to be coming back to this thread all the time...🙂 )
