Newbie here.. need your help

Meter: I'm happy with an analogue LunaPro F, for which I also have the spotmeter head. I got it all for $75, a low price, but LPs do show up on the Bay for that much, sometimes as BIN.

(But I also have a Weston IV from the 40s whose selenium is still good--its readings are always close to the Luna Pro--and it cost me $5.)

Guys.. thank you so much for all the help. You wont believe what I great day I had today.
My friend wanted to clear out some of his dad's old stuffs and we found a Nikon FM2 in pristine condition. I was so happy that I paid him just 50$ for it as he didn't want to take any money.
Moreover, when I came back home I find myself winning a leica M2 over ebay for 440$.
I almost cried after seeing it. Now i am gonna sell all my digital stuffs and move over to films.
Nikon FM2 with Fuji Velvia for colour and leica M2 with Ilford 400 for black and white.
I already have a Nikon 50mm 1.4 D lens for my Nikon FM2. Wondering what should be a good option for the leica. Leaning towards a 35mm but it would be great if I can have the lens within 500$.
Today is the greatest day perhaps in my life.. Haven't been happier!!! Still can't believe that I got 2 legendary cameras for a total of 500$... Incredible!!!!!

Congratulations,
well, that sound like a beautilful start. If you can get used to shoot SLR and rangefinder in paralell, the two different systems should help to "see in color" and "see in B/W". Get out there and shoot, develop, scan and let's see some results.

Wow OP what a great outcome! Humm lens for the M????? So you've a 50 on the Nikon. So does that leave you with 28mm or 35mm to debate on the Leica?

Edit, re meters, I bet you are going to be a bit tied up with cash, therefore, I might recommend if you have an iPhone the free App "Light Meter" and the $1 app "FotometerPro". The free one does only spot (reflected) the $1 one does both. (incident and reflected). I checked them both against a "real" meter abd they were dead on....

Well as you said zsas, I am left with the choice of 28 vs 35mm on the leica.
As far as the light meter goes, I plan to buy a real one for cheap below 150$.
But my biggest concern is scanning of films. I am new to US and do not have a car. Moreover I live in Hopkins,Minnesota.
Do not know where to scan my films as I really d not have money for buying a scanner now.
Just today finished my first roll of film, ilford 400 with the Nikon FM2 after a casual walk on teh streets of minneapolis Downtown.
Wished i could get them scanned nearby tomorrow itself.
Anywys, if anyone is acquinted with Hopkins area or minneapolis Downtown , please let em know where can I scan my films as i hate to go to Walgreens and the rest like that..
Also lens suggestion for the leica.....

I am having a very tough time.. the seller hasn't responded to any of my mails or calls for the last 4 days. The expected delivery of the m2 is 24th - 31st Aug. But I feel like i am in deep s**t. He doesn't even take the call after I got the contact info from ebay. Is it possible to cancel the transaction and get it from the classifieds here .
I am newbie in Ebay and really tensed..

Don't panic for a delay of 4 days of not hearing back from a seller on ebay. Try contacting the seller though ebay's messaging and get a copy sent to your email. Keep copies of all your attempts of communicating with the seller. It is possible to cancel a transaction, but you can't do it right away. You have to report it to ebay and jump thru a few hoops before they will do anything for you. Don't wait more that 30 days before you file a complaint or you may be out of luck.
Did you use paypal to pay for it? Paypal will help you, again, don't wait more that 30 days.
How is the feedback of the seller?

Well I used Paypal.. Now the seller reputation is not that great..Its just 96%.i am afraid for this reason only. Anyways have already informed the ebay customer care of me not being able to contact the seller.They said that i have to wait until 2nd September to file the case... I just hop I get the leica m2 for I am planning to sell all my digital gear for the leica.. Now it will be heart broken not to have it.
Desparation may even drive me to get a used one from Keh if it doesn't out to be good.....
