Newbie Question About Omega B-22 Negative Carrier

Here's a Day One newbie question about enlargers: Which end of the negative carrier goes in first?

My Omega B-22 arrived today. I've set it up and all seems well. The 35mm negative carrier looks like this when closed: Two sides curl up about one-third of an inch, two triangular points protrude from the third side, and the fourth side is straight with small tabs bent over on the left and right corners.

I'm inserting the two triangular points first, with the curled sides up. Is that correct?

The hinged side goes in first, the curved sides are on the left and right, cuving down, and the two pointy things point towards the front.

I knew this one...and I don't even have an Omega enlarger...
I just missed my chance because I was getting lunch...😀

I have a Beseler 23c and a Vivitar VI enlarger and what I like about them is the ability to turn the neg carrier at least 90* if needed...
I don't remember if this was the case with the Omega's...

You can't turn it 90 degrees as it is. The design of the enlarger and catrriers doesn't lend itself to rotating while inserted into the enlarger. I've modified my single frame (18x24mm) carrier so it can be turned 90 degrees and then inserted. To do this you ned to hammer one of the curved ends flat and then saw some of that piece off of the carrier.

I did this so I could print horizontal images on the baseboard from what would otherwise be a vertical image. At the time I had a 28mm Componon enlarging lens and several Olympus Pen single frame cameras.

Push up on one "pointy thing" with your thumb, down down on the other with the knuckle of your index finger, and it'll spread tha carrier enough so you can slide the negative strip to the next frame.

I've also filed out my carriers so I can print the full negative and a bit of clear film all around.
