Hi Everyone.
A complete beginner here but i bought the Fuji x100 because i love the look and I know(through my job) a couple of pro photographers that think despite a few quirks they love it as light replacement on certain jobs.
Anyway i am devouring the threads and trying to get some idea and help to get the best from it.
I have the latest firmware and am ready to go.
thankyou for all the posts that are helping me.

what?
I've had my X100 for a year, and love it. It has basically displaced my DSLR and my newer X10 . I am always grabbing the X100.
Have fun with yours.

Set to ISO 200.
Turn on auto ISO to Max 1600.
Turn on Corrected AF frame.
Set AEL/AFL button to lock focus only.
Don't be too pure about the virtues of the very nice OVF:
The EVF is pretty good too and essential for macro.
Don't be ashamed to shoot jpegs.
If you set to jpeg use the Raw button for raw shots in challenging light.

I bought my X100 new and owned it for over 2 years, until I sold it 3 days ago.
It's a great camera in some respects, a bit short in others, but overall it's my favorite digital camera ever. I took shots with it that I likely wouldn't have gotten with other equipment. With that said, I'm going all film for 2014, and it was the last digital camera I owned.
