Newly aquired Yashica Lynx 14

This is one nice camera. Just look at that lens !
In another thread on Why to shoot film, there's a link to kenrockwell.com and his rational on shooting film.
So as a test roll for my new Lynx, I used his same method, get the film processed at Costco, with a cd of scans at the same time.
I think the 4x6 prints are excellent quality and the scans are fine for web use.
In fact, now I'm on the hunt for good color film at a reasonable cost !

So, here's the camera along with one of the test shots I made (only resized for posting, prolly not the best shot to show for test results, but the print looks fine).

Love the Lynx 14. Wonderful camera. Very nice UNDERRATED sharp F1.4 (gotta tell ya, I got a nice sample of a Pentax M 1.4 recently - one of those "legendary" lenses... the Yash is right up there with it plus I can shoot at slower shutter speeds on the Yashica cause it's a RF) all manual controls, works without a battery, parallax corrected rangefinder with a "decent" patch. Three favorite cameras in no particular order - Lynx 14, Konica Auto S3, Iskra MF folder.

nice camera - nice picture
it makes me taking some pics with my 14 e

but there is the problem with the shutter: when i dont use it for some time the shutter will not work - so i reassemble the lens and knock on the shutter (slowly) then it will work for a while ;-)

the other time i use a borrowed holga and a minox 35

so good luck with the yashica - hope to see some more pics

Interesting that you posted a 14e pic - my recent shopping spree also included one !
It was not functional, so the price was $5.00 CAD. My father, who just has talent for fixing things,
CLA'd and got it working. He said it was full of verdi-gris (oxidization).
I still have to run a test roll through.
