WOW. Considering that you are using a 12mm lens (I used to have that one) this is truely impressive. Go Sony.
Wasn't the 12mm Heliar available in SLR mount as well? That would make it strongly retrofocal - if so, it is no surprise that it works out that well.

Nope, Mirror lockup and viewfinder required on Nikon F/F2. Not a retrofocus design.

For a uniform field, you can use something like an Expo/Disc (pringle's lid etc.) You can do some +EV to show up the corners better. If you have the Expo/Disc check your meter while you are at it. I did this when I got my M8 and wanted to see what the coding did.

Wow, that looks nice ! I used the 12mm on the NEX5 and got some colorshift... If the NEX5n/7 fixed that issue, that is just great !
