Nex-7 Firmware At Last!

Finally, the Sony NEX-7 firmware is released.

Please make sure you download it from your own country's Sony site, if possible.

Also released are the A77 and A65 firmware updates, as well as NEX E-mount lenses firmware updates to support the PDAF/CDAF Hybrid Auto-focus technology in the new NEX-6 and NEX-5R.

They say now the cam can even cope with superwide rangefinder lenses!

The new firmware is supposed to improve IQ with wide angles. Anybody got pictures which show this?

It doesn't work any magic, but 28mm lenses should not be a problem any more now.
With my 15mm Heliar it still shows the violett corners.

Yes, but only native mount wide-angles. This update won't "cornerfix" a CV 15mm.

You are right, it doesn't do that, but it has made SOME improvements on that ...

I'll try my CV 25mm - it wasn't too bad before, hopefully now it's even better.
