NEX-7, in the wild. Nice photos.

A "lot better" in what respect exactly ? I thought you must have meant high ISO as that is something reviewers have already criticised, however there are no High ISO examples in the link you provided. In fact the only photos appear to be photos OF the camera, not photos taken WITH the camera.

"A wild NEX-7 appears!"

Seriously, though, it just looks like an NEX-5 with a rubber grip. Much how a Saab 9-7x was a Chevy Trailblazer with the key between the seats...

EDIT: Yeah, I missed the other 9 pages of stuff, as well. Some of it doesn't look all that bad. Hell, with an APS-C sensor, it ought to be pretty good at this point in digi history.

For quite a lot of potential buyers what a camera looks like hanging around their neck IS the most important thing......

Vignetting?

Vignetting?

Wow - Seemed to me like a whole lot of the pictures taken with the kit lens had severe vignetting.

That camera is not for me. With lens mounted it looks like a mouse carrying a bazooka! I need something to hold on to or much smaller lenses. Have fun everyone who likes it :)

The photos taken with the Nex 7 at high iso do not appear to be that shabby to me, pretty decent really. I like the Nex 7 concept but could do without the overly large lenses. They are almost there except for the lens size which likely cannot be helped if the include AF and lens based IS.

I don't know if the NEX-7 is any different, but my father has a NEX-5K and the not-tiny kit lens and when I played with it, I found the grip surprisingly comfortable and easy to hold even with my large hands.

Aaah - I must have only looked at the first page, sorry about that, though the explanation that we ARE meant to be looking at a better high ISO rather than a better and amorphous "everything" does help to focus the point, does it not ? It certainly seems a pretty good 6,400 ISO shot ... of course it is always hard to tell with the levels of compression on the internet, especially without a direct comparison (ie. how much better is a Nex-5n in the same situation ?). Then again, I still use a Nikon d40x for digital, so virtually anything new will be better than that.
