I bought a Sigma Super-Wide II 24mm f/2.8 for Canon FD in an effort to find the cheapest feasible lens that'd get me a 35mm equiv FOV on my NEX-7. I took it to the farmer's market, and it seems like a hell of a lens already. I don't think it quite reaches infinity on my adapter, but I don't plan to use it much for landscapes at infinity, anyway.
The Sigma Super-Wide II 24/2.8 is a lovely lens. The old Photodo rated it 4.1, making it one of the sharpest lenses ever tested by them. I have it in both Minolta MD/MC and in Minolta/Sony AF - it is a great lens and I often was tempted to buy it for Canon EF, but it doesn't AF on Canon Digital 🙁
Only downside: it has distortion. Look at this picture taken with a Sony A100
