Next lens

Ok, my bessa R will be here next week 🙂 I will have a 50mm so what next? I don't have a lot to spend so I might look to a FSU lens. Maybe a 85mm. The FSU 35 will not work, right.

Look at a 90mm F4 Elmar or Steinheil 85mm F2.8 Culminar. Both are inexpensive, under $75. They are quite good. They are not "too Long" for the Bessa. A 135mm lens will be pushing it. On the wide-end, look for a Canon 35mm F2.8, should be ~ $125.

Thanks, Brian. i have been looking on the bay for a 90 but lately they are selling for way more than 100. Where else would oyu find one

Patience and Ebay, and our own 35mm Classifieds. Also Photonot has good deals.

And at $65, even with cleaning marks, that is a good price for a chrome LTM coated Elmar. I have lenses with "lots of cleaning marks" that produce sharp images. Use a shade with it, and it is fine.

The 90 Elmar is worth waiting for. Patience is important when using ebay-I picked up a black & chrome Elmar, coated, for about $60-no scratches.
