Nice Efke 100

Hello. This is my first New Thread here thou i have been around this nice forum, reading unregistered 🙂. I want to develop Efke 100 pushed to 200 asa in Microphen stock and I dont have much expirience in developing. I searched all over internet for recommended developing time but found just for 1+1 or 1+3 and none for stock Microphen. So please if someone can recommend it to me that would be very helpfull. Sorry for my English and if you dont know Fotokemika, company that makes Efke films,from my country Croatia, is closed and that is the end for these nice films.

Yeah thats sad for Fotokemika. Thanks but I saw that link allready and there are no dev.times for stock Microphen.

Hi in your Google searching you might want to look for Adox CHS art 100 also as it's the same film.
If not Ilford DDX is a similar (almost a liquid version of) to Microphen developer you might try that also.

Good luck, I loved the Efke/Adox films also and I'm sad to see them go, I'm not sure there is another 100 speed monodisperse single layer film to replace it–it was unique.

Still no results after search for Adox or ddx or microphen stock dev.time.
Efke 100 is very fine film

I developed it for 6 min. in stock Microphen and negatives seems ok but I will scan it so then will see. I will upload example here so that may be helpfull for someone else like me 🙂

Vidio sam tvoj post na zineu (iako nisam više član) i nije mi jasno tko ti je opće preporučio Microphen za prvi razvijac. Rodinal, D76 i ID11 su najbolje opcije za pocetak. Ako je u pitanju novac onda je Rodinal najbolja solucija. Sa jednom bocom mozes razviti 100 filmova. Bas sad razvijam jedan film i razmisljam se od kada mi je ova boca. Pojma nemam ali je pri kraju. Ima preko godine dana.

Ne znam sto ti je nejasno,nije mi niko preporucio microphen nego je to jedini razvijac koji mi je trenutno dostupan i s njim trebam razviti efke 100 pushan na 200 pa pitam za savjet iskusnije od mene. Jesi li ti ikako razvijao sa ovakvom kombinacijom? Hvala za savjet oko razvijaca i kad budem u prilici uzet cu rodinal pa se poigrato s njim na tvoju preporuku

Računao sam da ti ga je netko preopručio pošto tek krećeš s tim razvijanjem(moja greška). Super je to razvijač i dosta skup. Nisam nikako razvijao s tom kombinacijom. Jedno vrijeme sam koristio Efke 100 film i razvijao ga u Rodinalu, stand, sat vremena,1:100 i to je dalo dobre rezultate. Inace taj film ne volim. Pre tanak je i dosta osjetljiv. Savija se prilikom sušenja. Uglavnom ništa dobro nisam od njega dobio. 🙂 Preporučam od AGFA APX100 film. Nema ga kod nas kupiti ali ima na netu za 2.50eura (i manje) po roli. Super film. Pogotovo u Rodinalu. Ako još što mogu pomoći možeš poslat PM da ne mučimo ovdje ljude s hrvatskim.

Nice image,I've used the efke film a number of times and although I liked the negatives,I found that they all twisted badly on drying and using the negative carriers in my scanner wasn't a cause of joy,back to Ilford and Kodak,problem cured. However since then I've taken to putting a thin glass sheet over the negatives and lying them on the bottom of the scanner works very well.
