Very impressive 5 stop under exposure recovery..test. Used plus 5 stops in LR. The recovered shot looks pretty good to me. A lot of samples from wedding shots in the writeup and compare his workhorse nikons to the new 750.
It made me think back to days of film. I might push 1-3 stops, but by 3 using tri-x, grain was pretty obvious as I remember (been over 20 years since I last pushed tri-x). I can't imagine how thin the negative would be pushed 5 stops.

Used mine under low light and it is very impressive. Not a pro build camera , but still very good.

That's crazy! I thought my D800E was good where you probably could unexpose -3 stops and recover it..but -5 and recover it..that's awesome!

Thanks for the link, a nice review.
once upon a time
the only thing a Nikon 750 could be
was the 750 exposure film back for the Nikon F2.

Will this camera finally send used D700 prices down where they should be?

Used one yesterday.
Seems that Nikon can't help making some bad taste errors each time they release something for now : the D750 has no PC socket...
Otherwise, this is really a very very very nice camera, with IMO the best grip ever on a DSLR (for average-sized hands) and a superb build quality.
And - it's overall smaller than the Df, and has a better viewfinder.

So far after a week of use I'm extremely pleased with my D750. Light, easy to handle. great ergonomics, lots of dynamic range and just about everything else I wanted.

John - was this your first Nikon FX or an upgrade? I have a D700 and I'm making myself a bit insane over the D750 vs D810 upgrade path.
Best,
JT

This is my first FX Nikon. Previously I owned a pair of D90's. So far the only shortcoming I've found is the limited in-camera B&W. I enjoy using my Sony a6000 in this mode with b&w views on both the EVF and rear screen. I do however find the tilting LCD screen to be very handy.
I too considered the D810 but due to size/weight considerations and because I really didn't have a pressing need for the 36mp sensor and because I was more interested in the D750 frame rate, I opted for the 24mp camera.
