wasn't too sure where to put this...

just received my 'new' nikkor 28/3.5 lens and i had to tell folks, i know...just a big kid.

this is the smallest lens i have ever seen.
it makes the canon 28/3.5 seem ginormous😉

this same lens used to sit on the cl i bought from enochroot and when he offered me the lens also i could not pass it up.
and i'm glad about that.

it makes the camera/lens combo just so much more pocketable. i think it's gonna be a fun street cam.

i hope so.

the previous owner used this same set up and it worked for him.
others have reported it working for them also.

i am not so much a precise shooter, framing wise, so i'm thinking this work for me.
right now the cl has the 28 and a small canon 35/2.8 and 100/3.5 and is still light enough to carry all day and fit comfortably in a domke 5xb bag.
and most of the time the 100 will stay home as i seem to use a longer lens less & less.
and for just a walkabout i can see the 28 being the prime prime.

Maybe I should keep one of these CL's that I have...
It is at DAG right now for repair...

the camera grows on you, at least it is growing on me.
i put a long domke strap on it and carry it over the head and across the chest with the camera sitting at my side.
hardly know it's there.

The 2.5cm f4 is even smaller!
The CL and 2.8cm Nikkor would be a great street shooter indeed. Small enough for a pocket. Street shooting doesn't have to be precise.
Does the rangefinder couple using this optic? I am assuming the lens has a M adapter.

It just so happens that I have a Canon 28mm/3.5 on a CL, and I assure you that the lens is very small. If the Nikon lens is smaller, it must be tiny.

2.8cm in its Nikon mount is my standard carry-around lens. Yes, I wish it was as faster, but it's my ideal focal length for RFs. 28mm and 50mm also make a great pair.

One just sold on beebay today for over $350 with its finder. So if the finder sells for $200, the lens cost $150.
