Canada, eh.
So in the grand sceme of things, how good of a lens is this one? How would it compare, for instance, with a Jupiter 12? How much would one expect to pay for such a lens in good condition?

35/3.5 Nikkor: in chrome or the later black. the most numerous 35 LTM Nikkor

not really a lot of info.
i wonder if brian has one of these?

so frank, got a deal working on this lens?

for me 3.5 is kinda slow for any lens. i'm not big on fast lenses but a 35 is a well used lens and 3.5 might be restrictive.
eventually i want to get the canon 35/2 lens.

I do, but I'm going to decline that particular deal because I've got a J-12 coming in that other rangefinders for Bessa R and CV25 lens trade.

I'm hoping Brian comes on-line soon.

It will my my 2nd Bessa R, Joe. I very recently got one with Ralph's help. Remember the seller who wouldn't ship to Canada? I'll be able to have 400 speed B+W film in one body and 100 speed B+W film in the other.

Joe, I don't own all that much gear, but I do benefit from keeping details in a computer database just to keep it straight! So, it's nigh inconceivable to mentally keep track of everyone else's gear too!

there was a post awhile back about keeping trak on the computer.
i started my own database on excel.
so far, i have my cameras, lenses and fixed lens cameras and my hand meters listed.
i keep track of brand, model, when purchased, cost, serial number etc.
i have not bothered with things like hoods, filters, straps or cases but maybe i'll add some of those later on.

i can't for the life of me, remember what you guys are shooting with.
for guys like brian i just assume he owns it if i want it, 😉.

Frank, I don't know if the J12 will mount on the Bessa R due to its protruding rear element. Be careful when doing so for fear of damaging the camera or the lens.

Thanks Ralph, yes I've read that too. I can try the J-12 on my Canon VI-L (has frame lines for it) or if not then it definitely will fit my Leica IIIf but I'll need a finder for it as it will not come with one.
