The 57/1.2 Hexanon is radioactive, all versions. Are you comfortable with that and a newborn at home?

You receive more radiation from natural surroundings than lenses emit. Nothing to worry about.

I own the Nikkor and it is excellent.

Hmm yes, lot's of FX-3's around at modest prices. At least I can save on the camera body.
