We have found an interesting lens as part of an inheritance, but we can't really categorize it. It is a 50mm, 1.4mm (see photos) that is all gold - not like the Nikon FA Grand Prix where the lens only has a gold adjustment ring.

Can anyone tell us more about the history of this lens - how many are there, when was it sold and why?

Best regards,

Is it made in real gold or gold plated or gold color?
It couldn’t be made of gold raid, who would do that? The Sultan?
It’s obviously plated, it shows it in one of the pictures of the rear mount.

Whoever did this, paid a pretty penny doing it.

The sheen and the color of gold doesn’t match the FE Grand Prix, yet the lens is about the same production era.
