Wasn't sure whether to post this in the Leica LTM or Nikon rangefinder thread so posted it in both as the latest entry from my blog features the wonderfully sharp and contrasty Nikkor H.C. 5cm f/2 LTM lens on my super stealthy 1947 Leica IIIc. Click the link to read and see more

This lens is a favorite of many people here.
Your book has many nice looking images in it.

I have an LTM version, 714364 and a Nikon S version, 653635. Strange enough the Nikon S version is much better. The Nikon S version is extremely sharp at far distances, so it is excellent for landscapes and such.

Thanks for the comments and interest
Raid - interested to see how (rightly) popular the Nikon 50/2 LTM is here. I recently picked up the 50/1.4 in LTM too, how do people find that compares (I shall feature it in a future blog when I get round to it of course)...

Nick,
I have only owned the 50/2. Some people love the 50/1.4. I think, Roland is one of them.
I picked today some scans of film taken with the Tower 35 and the Nikon 50/2.
