Canon LTM Nikkor Lens with Canon P

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
It will not have a focussing issue, but the Lens Hood for the Nikkor will obstruct the RF window of the Canon. The much shorter Nikkor 8.5cm F2 does not present a problem. The Canon 7 is better for use with the 10.5cm F2.5.

The hood is the first thing I noticed and the tripod mount does not line up center with the Canon P. Composing with the 100 bright lines could be tricky.

I used to, and it worked well. Like Brian said, you might want to pick a smaller hood. The 105 is difficult to focus on any camera. Here is how it looks:

Reg. tripod mount, a grip makes it easier. 100mm frame-lines and the 105 go well together.

Cheers,

Roland.

furcafe, how do you move the tripod mount on the 105/2.5? Mine is quite off on my 7s. (I already had Sherry Krauter fix the RF cam on the lens, it simply projected too far.)

Beautiful pictures from the lens, but gawd it is large and heavy. A real "oof" on my 7s.

The older bayonet mount hoods on the earlier lenses may be skinnier than the later clip-on ones that were also used on the F-mount lenses.

The body of the lens has slots where the tripod socket screws hold it in place. Loosen the screws and slide the tripod mount. I did this some years ago.
