i have stumbled across this lens and have no body to use it on as both my kievs are sold i was wondering what the value is like for this lens which by the way is in excellent condition and the price of a nikon s body is beyond me right now any help would appreciated thanks

it depends on condition and any collector value, like early production, all aluminium (silver colour) , all black etc.
the common everyday ones seem go for from 160 to 280 dollars.

Its a black & chrome and a red C i have attached pic hope it works

This lens is one of the last with the red C. The red C was dropped from 396*** onward. The pricing given for the common variety above sounds about right.
